How it works
1. Reach out
Call, email, or use the contact form. We ask a short set of questions to confirm the package fits your situation. This costs nothing. If the package is not the right fit, we tell you plainly and, where we can, point you toward counsel suited to what your situation needs.
2. Engage the firm and complete your questionnaire
If the package fits, you sign an engagement letter that states the scope and the fee, and you complete our estate planning questionnaire. It asks about your family, the people you trust to serve, and how you want your property to pass. It is designed to be completed in one sitting.
3. Review your drafts with your attorney
We prepare your documents and review every one of them before you see them. Then we meet, walk through each document together, answer your questions, and make any changes your plan needs.
4. Sign
We hold a signing meeting and walk you through executing each document, with the witnesses and notarization each document calls for.
5. Your deed is recorded
Where a transfer on death deed is part of your plan, we record it with the county and return the recorded deed to you.
Done means done
Your representation is complete when your signing meeting is finished and, where a deed is part of your plan, the recorded deed has been returned to you. You leave with a signed, organized set of documents and plain instructions for what to do when life changes.
